The retirement of General Bogoljub Zivkovic is driven by narrow interests within the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). It is a “vindictive act by the regime,” while the longtime commander of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ), Spasoje Vulevic, is also being targeted, the weekly Radar said in its latest issue.
