According to reports based on N1 Slovenia publications, police are investigating "possible grounds for suspicion of a criminal offence" related to the sale of just under one hectare of land, which Serbian businessman Nikola Petrovic purchased last year from the Ljubljana municipality. Petrovic, a close associate of the Serbian president, is known to have connections with members of organised crime groups and is personally acquainted with the mayor of Ljubljana, with whom he reportedly meets occasionally.
